As a media and communications students, I am well trained in the task of uncovering hidden meanings. The task of uncovering hidden meanings and agendas through deconstruction and reconstruction is key to diasporic art practice. I propose that what we see is an illusion and should, as much as possible be interrogated for alternative meanings and understandings. This is not a new idea and is understood widely but the sliding puzzle provides a novel method of interrogating what is presented to you.
