This is arguably one of the foundational aspects of diasporic experience; navigating, crossing and transcending borders. I propose collage and the sliding puzzle as generative methods of exploring the arbitrary nature of borders because of their properties of bringing attention to the edges and the margins, questioning how borders are created and their permanence and role in the ordering of identities.
